Dan J. Stone, Chairman of the Board

A passionate, motivational leader, Dan has a consistent track record of delivering strong P&L results in turnaround, M&A and hyper-growth environments, and broad experience in technology and emerging markets.

Dan is currently CEO of CompuCom, prior to which he acted as President of the company’s End-User Enablement Business Unit and President of its Tech-Zone Service Centers. For five years, he was a Board of Directors Observer and Industry Expert at XTR3D. He also worked at Lenovo for several years, as President of Lenovo Latin America and Vice President of Lenovo Group Ltd; President of Lenovo Brazil; and VP Strategy and Corp. Development and Chief Strategy Officer. Before joining Lenovo, he worked as Engagement Manager at McKinsey.

Dan holds an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from The Hebrew University.


Neil Z. Auerbach, Board member and shareholder

A private equity investor, Neil is particularly known for his leadership role in clean energy investment. He is the co-founder and CEO of Hudson Clean Energy Partners, a global private equity firm that invests exclusively in clean energy. Prior to that, while working at Goldman Sachs he co-founded the U.S. alternative energy investment business within the firm’s Special Situations Group, and led several of its most successful investments in renewable energy. He also set up and managed several other businesses at Goldman, supervising over 30 professionals in the U.S. and Europe, presiding over a $3 billion balance sheet, and working in the firm’s Debt Capital Markets and Credit Derivatives units.

Neil’s earlier professional experience includes acting as Managing Director and Head of Structured Capital Markets at Barclays Capital; principal (Co-Head) of a joint venture between Morgan Stanley’s Derivatives & Debt Capital Markets groups; and tax attorney and partner at McDermott, Will & Emery. He is a member of the Leadership Council of Renewable Energy (ACORE), and sits on the Executive Committee of ACORE’s Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance. He is also a member and Commissioner on the National Commission on Energy Policy of the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, and sits on the Advisory Council of the Prince of Wales’ Rainforest Project.

Neil holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University School of Law, a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Albany.


Irving Kagan, Board member

Irving has practiced law and been involved in legal and business affairs for over 55 years. His vast experience includes private practice, government service, corporate counseling, international legal affairs, management consulting and teaching.  He has held a variety of senior positions in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to that, in 18 years at Hertz Corporation, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel, responsible for directing legal affairs for its international vehicle rental and leasing company. He also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and Board Member for GAF Corporation.

Irving has acted as special counsel and consultant, management and litigation consultant and strategic business planner to various enterprises nationally and internationally, including private and public companies and several New York law firms. He has served on various boards, including the board of a multinational public company and as a member of its audit, compensation, nominating/governance and special committees.

A graduate of New York University School of Law, Irving has himself taught various courses at Cardozo School of Law in New York City, the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and Fordham School of Law.

Kfir Avraham, Board member

Kfir is General Manager and a proud game changer at British multinational consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser. His previous experience includes working in marketing at Procter & Gamble and at L’Oreal.

After receiving his LLB from The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Kfir served as a military lawyer in the IDF. He also holds an MBA in Marketing from Tel Aviv University.

Ran Poliakine, Founder and Board member

At the cutting edge of technology for the past 25 years, Ran has been addressing consumer needs with practical and creative solutions while making use of existing and new technologies. Widely considered to be a visionary for his ability to identify and react to trends in the consumer marketplace, Ran has been crediting with founding entire product categories, adding modern twists to reinvent outdated technologies and creating new paradigms for enhancing people’s lives across population segments and demographics.

From the safe transfer and commercial viability of wireless energy to innovations in “smart” conductive textiles, washable electronics and new use cases in nanotechnology, the breadth and depth of experience in functionality and design that Mr. Poliakine has brought to bear on his many inventions is astounding.

In addition to founding Powermat, Ran founded Wellsense USA, Nanox Imaging PLC and Illumigy Ltd.

Jason Glick, Board member

A highly successful entrepreneur, Jason has set up and runs multiple businesses, with a particular focus on media. He currently owns Cnaan Media Group, Israel’s largest outdoor media network; WEB3 Online Media Group; and Maxi Media Advertising Limited. He founded Village Media Group in 2007 which he still runs, and was the founder and owner of Student Village from 2001 to 2006.  Prior to that, he worked as Business Manager for RSA, The IQ Business Group (Pty) Ltd.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Michael Kaufman, Advisory board member

A nationally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, Michael has led major restaurant chains, created and successfully exited a restaurant startup, innovated a restaurant brand for a luxury retailer and served on various boards with the industry.

Prior to joining Astor Group in 2015, Michael served as President of Metromedia Restaurant Group, a billion dollar company comprised of Bennigan’s, Steak and Ale, Bonanza and Ponderosa, led the creation and implementation of a multi-unit luxury restaurant concept for Saks Fifth Avenue, co-founded, operated and sold a restaurant group to Centerplate, Inc., and established Pond Hill Ventures LLC to advise and invest in hospitality ventures.

In addition, Michael served as Chairman of the Board of the National Restaurant Association and the NRA’s Educational Foundation.

Michael graduated from Harvard College, magna com laude, and Harvard Law School, cum laude.

Vered Karin, Board observer

Vered is the Chief Investment Manager of Arbel Finance, a private debt fund managing $280 Million, supported mostly by leading institutional investors. Vered has 20 years of experience in the Finance industry, and held leading positions in Israel’s top finance firms. She served as the Debt Manager of Psagot Investment House and Debt & Private Transactions Manager of Altchuler Shacham Investment House.

Vered holds an MBA in Business Administration from The Hebrew University and a Bachelor of Finance and Business Administration (com laude) from Tel-Aviv University.
